Anarkali is a long kurta with a fitted bodice. The bodice is of different styles and cut – round neck, angrakha, closed neck, or with a Chinese collar etc. The ghera of anarkali is either cut in flat kalis or umbrella kalis depending on the style. The length usually ranges from mid-knee to floor length. It is paired with a dupatta and can be worn over chudidar or palazzo pants. An anarkali is made in a fabric that flows and is soft like mull - voil - cotton - silk - georgette - chiffon etc. It can also be called as a kalidaar.
