A sharara has originated from the Aesthetics of Mughal Royalties. It is a three piece outfit with flared floor sweeping pants with a joint at or below the knee level with a skirt like outline below the knee resembling the shape of an umbrella, generally worn to weddings. The ensemble is usually finely embellished with zari, stone-work, sequins and threadwork or resham. The sharara is paired with a Short tunic which Is also known as a "Short Kurta". And Is paired with a 2.5 meter long fabric identically embroidered like a drape which is also known as traditional "Dupatta".
